Southport RFC have ended their 2024–25 season in style, securing a 47–33 victory over Coalville RFC in the Counties 2 North Plate Final at Castle Park, Doncaster.

The result caps off a superb campaign that saw Southport finish 4th in Counties 2 ADM Lancashire & Cheshire, go unbeaten at home, and put together an impressive run in the Plate competition—culminating in this dominant final performance.
Having already beaten Sefton, Bolton and Barnard Castle to reach the final, Southport rose to the occasion when it mattered most. The win is a deserved reward for the hard work of players, coaches and volunteers, and marks a clear high point in what has been a season of real progress.

Celebrations will continue back at the club on Waterloo road from approximately 7pm.
